I remember always hearing that if March came in like a lion she went out like a lamb and if she came in like a lamb she went out like a lion.\u00a0 What March is a she I don’t know but that is what I heard.\u00a0 Here in Ukraine March first is the first day of Spring.\u00a0 Well, surprise!\u00a0 This year she came in like a lion.\u00a0 We have had snow off and off since Tuesday (February 27th) afternoon.\u00a0 Today it has snowed off and on all day without amounting to much but due to the winds and continual snow it is beginning to build up.\u00a0 Right now as I look out my office window it is sunny with blue skies but it is snowing and the wind is blowing.\u00a0 There are lots of people out and about despite the weather.\u00a0 I am sure some have no choice but perhaps some go out just because. I feel bad for our missionaries because unless they have an appointment they are out in this cold weather.<\/p>\n

The snow is to continue into Saturday and then it is supposed to clear.\u00a0 We will see what actually happens.\u00a0 The interesting thing is that because of the wind there are places with almost no snow and other places with lots of snow so walking is challenging.\u00a0 I took a few pictures with my phone.\u00a0 I took some more with my camera from our apartment windows and may add those later.\u00a0 I don’t want to take my camera out in the very cold weather.<\/p>\n

One last thing.\u00a0 Last week for the new missionaries arrival luncheon and for the MLC (mission leader conference) a woman from our branch cooked the food.\u00a0 The meals were delicious and we enjoyed way too much food.\u00a0 For the new arrivals she made a beautiful cinnamon torte with a beautifully decorated top.\u00a0 Here is a picture of Anna and the cake – it was delicious.<\/p>\n
