{"id":2824,"date":"2020-05-15T16:04:09","date_gmt":"2020-05-15T22:04:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/momsblog.morgeneggs.com\/?p=2824"},"modified":"2020-05-15T16:04:09","modified_gmt":"2020-05-15T22:04:09","slug":"sourdough-adventures-continue","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/momsblog.morgeneggs.com\/?p=2824","title":{"rendered":"Sourdough Adventures continue!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I have really enjoyed my experiments with my sour dough starter.\u00a0 Having started it from scratch from only flour and water I am really happy it has been so active.\u00a0 While it was maturing we have enjoyed sour dough pretzels, sour dough biscuits, sour dough waffles, sour dough english muffins, sour dough french bread, sour dough chocolate cake, sour dough lemon cake, sour dough blueberry muffins (not nearly as good as Andrea&#8217;s recipe but with some tweeking it might become comparable) and one other loaf of sour dough bread.\u00a0 I have learned a lot along the way.\u00a0 For one thing you cannot knead sour dough like regular bread &#8211; you &#8220;fold&#8221; it.\u00a0 I got a plastic scrapper that I use to fold it that is so easy to use.\u00a0 This is still a lot of learning but I am getting better.\u00a0 Looking forward to cutting into this loaf later today.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2822\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2822\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2822\" src=\"http:\/\/momsblog.morgeneggs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Sourdough-Number-2-1-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/momsblog.morgeneggs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Sourdough-Number-2-1-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/momsblog.morgeneggs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Sourdough-Number-2-1-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/momsblog.morgeneggs.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/Sourdough-Number-2-1-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><p id=\"caption-attachment-2822\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">My starter is crazy active and this loaf really rose as it cooked.
