Seems weird to say we can taste it but we truly are so close.\u00a0 The small things that are left will take more time than we like but we are down to the small things.\u00a0 I thought it might be interesting to show then and now photos so I dug out our photo from when we first moved here in 1986 to show the wide differences.\u00a0 Amazing what we have done – it is a new house.<\/p>\n

Today (July 28 2012) our mason started work on our front porch.\u00a0 It started raining (again) so he didn’t get as far as he had planned but it is all ready to reface.\u00a0 He is using blue stone (not actually blue more of a grey) on the top, landing and treads and cultured stone on the front and sides.\u00a0 The cultured stone looks a lot like our bricks in color.\u00a0 I think it will look really nice when finished.\u00a0 Then we will have a new railing made (down both sides) in white.\u00a0 When done it will be great.<\/p>\n

We are beginning to believe that we are going to actually finish – so much is done already. \u00a0 This week we expect to be able to finish painting the computer room and put it back together and then we will work on the garage and hopefully by the time winter comes we will be done with all our renovations and able to just enjoy them.\u00a0 It has been a lot of long hours and hard work but we really like the results and are enjoying the new space we have.<\/p>\n
