Merry Christmas Village in Ogden – a Festival of Lights and Fun

Filed under: Adventures Intro — admin @ 11:31 am

Ogden Utah has a large city block devoted to Christmas.  Each year merchants and others put up small houses all lit and decorated for Christmas.  Most have a theme of some kind and some are focused on a special gift they offer to the city.  We walked around and saw all the houses, the lit trees, the large lit train and the small one, the merchants selling hot chocolate, tacos and other treats, the theater where they were singing Christmas songs and so much more.  What a truly special place this is and there were hundreds of people taking advantage of the gift it is to all.  Here are some of the pictures I took.  Enjoy.

Shades of ET and friends riding off in the sky – but here there are reindeer riding instead.

Last of all, our “neighbor” across the street has decorated his house for Christmas.  It has lights and decorations all around – all four sides and the garage in the back.  He turns it off every night by ten so it doesn’t keep us up and it is really quite amazing.  I think he has been collecting for many years as some of the decorations look vintage.  There is even an Easter bunny on the side of his yard.  Here are a couple of pictures.

I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a truly Happy New Year – filled with the lights, sounds and joys of life and our Savior.  I love you all.
