Reserved Parking

Filed under: Adventures Intro,Our Mission — admin @ 6:05 am

So in our apartment complex with its limited parking (and we see these all around the town, even outside the bank where our office is) they have a unique way of reserving their spaces.

These two metal reservation things are up and locked up as the owners are away. When they come back they unlock them and they lay down flat.

I hope you can get the concept here.  They are almost like little tents but when they unlock the middle post they will lay down flat.  They also use them to close roads to traffic.

One day while we were walking I noticed a painting on a brick wall of an apartment complex.  I had to stop and take a picture and although the quality is not as good as my camera my little mission phone takes pretty okay pictures.  I like this one as it is just fun!

I like this cute painting. It shows someone has a sense of humor.

More Trees and What a contrast!

Filed under: Adventures Intro,Our Mission — admin @ 3:30 am

So here are two more pictures of trees.  This first is of more tree lopping in our development.

The second is a true sign of spring coming.

The view from our floor stairway of trees really lopped in our development.

The blossoms on this tree (which may be a cherry tree) prove that spring is really com ing.

Tree Lopping

Filed under: Adventures Intro,Our Mission — admin @ 12:11 am

So when we came home the other day we could hardly walk into our little community for all the big and small tree branches on the ground.  They have lopped off all the trees not just a little – a lot.  It looks like they have topped them all off for no reason.  They must know what they are doing – at least I hope so because they seem to be doing it other places as well.  I took a picture of the playground with all the brush still there.

What a mess!

What a mess!

It is hard to see it but before you had a clear view of the playground – you can, however, see how they have chopped off the trees.  This morning they were really working at cleaning it up so you can walk without having to step over lots of branches.  It will be interesting to see what the end results are for the trees.
