Spring is definitely here despite the temperatures

So it is still pretty cool here.  Most days it gets up into the 50s but at night it is in the low 30s.  They turned off the heat in our building mid March and so our apartment cools off at night.  Some nights I go to bed early just to snuggle under the covers.  Also, living near the river it is usually windy here and usually the wind it cool.  We are no longer wearing our winter coats but we still bundle up.  We are wearing lighter weight gloves and scarves but have not put them away.

There are many signs of Spring around.  The cherry trees outside our apartment complex are in full bloom and the blossoms are starting to fall of which means fruit is near.  I understand the cherries are very big here (not size but popular).  I know I have never had such delicious cherry jam and juice.  I cannot get enough and will surely miss it when we come home.

So Spring is definitely in the air and there are people carrying tulips and daffodils as well.

Despite needing a coat still. It is beautiful.

Reserved Parking

So in our apartment complex with its limited parking (and we see these all around the town, even outside the bank where our office is) they have a unique way of reserving their spaces.

These two metal reservation things are up and locked up as the owners are away. When they come back they unlock them and they lay down flat.

I hope you can get the concept here.  They are almost like little tents but when they unlock the middle post they will lay down flat.  They also use them to close roads to traffic.

One day while we were walking I noticed a painting on a brick wall of an apartment complex.  I had to stop and take a picture and although the quality is not as good as my camera my little mission phone takes pretty okay pictures.  I like this one as it is just fun!

I like this cute painting. It shows someone has a sense of humor.
