Using old skills

Filed under: Adventures Intro,Our Mission — admin @ 12:52 am

Years ago I was blessed to receive a Photoshop Program from our children which our son, Andrew, then upgraded when he graduated and got a new program.  So I continue to use his program dated 2003 or before.  I worried when our computer automatically updated to Windows 10 after we arrived in Utah as then I couldn’t open it but Matthew was able to reinstall Windows 7 so I continue to use this out of date program that I know how to use.  I actually do not want to update as that would involve learning a new program – even if it is better and has more features.  Anyway,  recently I have had several opportunities to use it.  I am including the two that I feel are the best of what I have done.

At our Zone Conference in March Sister Sullivan was not feeling well.  She always takes a photo at each Zone Conference to record who was there and for the missionaries to have copies of.  After the Conference finished a photo was taken but she was not in it.  See below:

We left a seat for Sister Sullivan and I found another photo where she was wearing something similar and where President was similar as well and the result was:

Altered photo – I also corrected the lighting – for some reason the photos always come out very yellow in our chapel.

Then at this last conference our APs, Assistants to the President, had mistakenly scheduled a presentation they were making at a University for an hour before the conference ended and they just said – “No problem, Sister Morgenegg can photoshop us in.”  Not as easy as the above but here is the before of that photo:

Before with some lighting change.

And, after I took a photo of them at Church on Sunday – surprisingly I must have been standing in the correct spot and I didn’t have to resize – just juggle some to get them in.  Here is the photo with the APs in it:

Final Photo

For your information, if you hold down the Ctrl button and press the + key it will enlarge your image so you can see the photos larger.

So I hope this is not my new job but if so I don’t mind.  Life is a blessing every day and I am so grateful for all the Lord has blessed me to learn along the way.  What a great journey this is!
