So yesterday morning when I woke up the sky was so pretty. The pictures don’t really reflect what I saw but you can see some of our view. Mostly we just see lots and lots of apartment buildings but the river is a beautiful site. Being up so high has many advantages in the view.
Looking our our apartment window you see lots of tall apartment buildings – these are mostly 1980 vintage Russian built apartments made of concrete and brick and close together. Notice the satellite receivers on the roof tops – there are lots of them.
This is a view of the Dnieper river from our windows – it is very large especially here where it turns a little more south.
In the center of this picture there is a building with two towers that are kind of domed with another tower between. That is where our mission president lives. We were there for a Christmas party last night and it is very posh.
