A number of people have commented they wanted to know more about what we do. I will send an e-mail with some details but here are some pictures to give you an idea of where we work.

Here I am at my desk. The missionary who took this picture insisted I put up Russian papers but I doubt you can see it. Yes, I do sometimes type in Russian, even in Ukrainian, but mostly I work in English.

Here is the beautiful foyer in our office – it is what you see when you step off the elevator (when it works which it has been a lot lately).

Down the short hall from my desk is our office kitchen – just a small kitchen which is fine to heat our lunch in. We also use it to prepare and serve lunches to those who come in for meetings, like the mission leaders conferences held once every six weeks. Then it is very inadequate but we make it work.

Here is Dad/Grandpa/Carl in his office. He has a large glass window where he can see what is happening in the rest of the office. I can see him from my desk. His office locks since he has the mission safe and many confidential files in his office.

This is the back hall where many of our mission supplies are stored. One of the big jobs I have yet to take on is the inventory – UGH! At the end of the hall is a door to the stairs that we have to use when the elevator is out. We pray for the elevator to work so we don’t have to climb all the stairs to our fifth floor office. By the way, the blue boxes are for mail for the missionaries and the open shelves are where we store all the boxes they get until I get them mailed out to the missionaries.

Here is a view of my desk from the hall outside the kitchen. We use the table to serve at the conferences that are held in our office or at other times when we have someone visiting.

Our friend the copy machine and my filing cabinet.

A view from the foyer down the hall to the president’s office. You can see Dad/Grandpa/Carl’s window. He is busy working. The other desk and computer are used by the mission executive secretary and the missionaries.

View out another one of the foyer windows. Notice all the satellite receivers.

Here is a close up of the satellites dishes on the roof of what I believe is an apartment building. There is a pharmacy on the first floor – pharmacies are all over. There is another pharmacy right across the street from this one.

View out another one of the foyer windows. There is a small walkway and the president has a door out in his office.
